Louis Vuitton creates bespoke trunks for the world’s most prestigious sporting trophies.

Summoner’s Cup

Louis Vuitton’s first eSport trophy case was presented at the League of Legends 2019 World Championships in Paris.

Following a long history of creating bespoke trunks for the world’s most prestigious sporting trophies, Louis Vuitton has for the first time created a travel case for an eSport trophy. As part of a pioneering partnership with Riot Games, the Maison crafted an exceptional and innovative trunk for the World Championship of League of Legends, the most popular multiplayer video game in the world.

Combining traditional savoir-faire and ultra-modern high-tech elements inspired by the world of League of Legends, the unique trunk comprises of five ultra-powerful LEDs for the unveiling ceremony World Championship Finals in Paris on November 10th, 2019. The trunk is also equipped with a mechanism developed to allow the automatic opening and closing of the panels as well as raising the Summoner’s Cup inside. Developed over two phases, firstly the technical design followed by Louis Vuitton’s signature trunk-making expertise, the Summoner’s Cup case required about 900 hours of research, development, and production implicating more than 25 people.

Louis Vuitton has specially designed the trunks for the 2010, 2014, and 2018 Fifa World Cups™

Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton : the House has once again created a new FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Travel Trunk in which the Trophy can be safely transported and displayed. The result is a beautiful titanium-covered, special-order case designed and handmade at the House’s workshops in Asnières, France. A gracious and intelligent means of transporting and displaying football’s greatest prize, this elegant case continues Louis Vuitton’s 160-year association with legends: from royalty, writers, explorers to the most recognizable trophy in the world.

Specially made by highly skilled artisans in Louis Vuitton’s Asnières workshop, the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Trunk Case has been carefully designed to protect and transport the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy’s 6.175 kilograms of 18-carat gold and malachite.

This trunk created for the Russian edition is covered in beautiful, lightweight yet hardwearing, laser-engraved Monogram Titanium, a material recently used in Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2018/2019 menswear collection. The trunk’s eight corners are protected with the House’s celebrated natural cowhide leather, and the lock and six clasps are made in ruthenium, a strong dark-grey metal, which has the chemical symbol Ru and was named after this year’s FIFA World Cup™ host.

Roland Garros

Louis Vuitton Creates Trunks for Roland-Garros’ Legendary Trophies

For Roland-Garros, Louis Vuitton has joined forces with the French Tennis Federation for the 2017 and 2018 editions. The Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles champions of Roland Garros’ tournament have won the prestigious Suzanne Lenglen Cup and the Musketeers’ Cup. These trophies were presented in two trunks designed by Louis Vuitton and present customized hand-paintings of the posters of both tournaments. This marks a legitimate collaboration for two illustrious French brands particularly attached to know-how, excellence, art, and promoting Paris and France worldwide.

Bespoke cases

Both trophy trunks, handmade in the historic Louis Vuitton workshops in Asnieres, have been meticulously manufactured to house each of the illustrious trophy at Roland Garros. Dressed in the iconic Monogram canvas, these trunks are both fitted with signature brass corners and lock. The terracotta-coloured interior evokes the clay surface. On the front, a "V" reminiscent of the lines on a tennis court adds the finishing touch to the trunk’s design.

Webb Ellis

The first rugby World Cup for Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton and World Rugby have collaborated to deliver a very special project for Rugby World Cup 2015.

To celebrate rugby’s greatest event, Louis Vuitton has designed a special case to carry the famous Webb Ellis Cup, rugby’s greatest prize.

Handmade in Louis Vuitton's historic Asnières workshop near Paris, the Special Order has been meticulously designed to accommodate the celebrated Trophy, which is made of sterling silver and gold plate. Covered in Louis Vuitton's iconic Monogram canvas, the travel case is fitted with the company's signature brass lock and corners and the case opens from the front and at the top to allow the Trophy to be easily removed.

The Special Order for Rugby World Cup 2015 perpetuates Louis Vuitton's long tradition of creating elegant and ingenious cases for travellers to transport their most precious belongings.

America's Cup

The Louis Vuitton America's Cup trophy trunk

Louis Vuitton equipped The America’s Cup with its bespoke trunk for the 35th competition of the oldest international sporting competition in the world. The trophy trunk features a vivid scarlet V to reflect the new Louis Vuitton America’s Cup logo. Handmade by three craftsmen in the historical workshop of Louis Vuitton in Asnières, France, the 2017 Louis Vuitton America’s Cup trophy trunk is the result of over 400 man-hours’ of work, through seven steps of fabrication.

Davis Cup

The trophy travel case for the 2019 Davis Cup

For the first time, the coveted Davis Cup trophy – the men’s "world cup of tennis" – was featured in a bespoke Louis Vuitton Trophy Travel Case.

Handcrafted in the House’s workshop in Asnières, just outside Paris, the unusual circular trunk sits atop the cup’s remarkable oversized base, opening at the top and on two sides to create a perfect showcase. Covered in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram Macassar canvas, it features rich leather trimmings, palladium and brass clasps, as well as the Davis Cup logo printed on the interior of the lid.
