Millesime Leather Collection
Millesime Leather Collection
Louis Vuitton invites you to the heart of the French mountains in the Massif Central to discover the finest quality calfskin at the Domaine des Massifs, where a sustainable approach is fostered. For this new capsule, Louis Vuitton reinterpreted several iconic shapes including the Noé, Alma, Speedy, and a new Steamer bag, showcasing a natural tan colour, ultra-supple leather and a LV embossed signature.
Specialised Craftsmanship
Featuring a wonderfully smooth exterior, each bag’s unique tan colour is obtained through a specific tanning process in Tuscany, Italy, that uses a mix of mineral and vegetal tanning, ensuring the suppleness and naturalness of the skin. The leather from the new Millesime Leather Collection remains natural, allowing the bags to develop a patina over time where they are handled the most, bearing the marks of its owner’s personal history.
Keepall
Designed in 1930 in cotton canvas, the Keepall is still one of Louis Vuitton’s most iconic shapes, perfectly embodying the spirit of modern travel. Characterized by its suppleness and recognizable shape, the Keepall remains true to its original design, showcasing its emblematic double reinforcement strips and buckled-on leather name tag.
Steamer
Inspired by the archive Steamer designed in the early 1900s for transatlantic voyages, the new Steamer combines the trunk-making codes of the Maison with contemporary signatures established by Nicolas Ghesquière. Featuring timeless lines, the new side adjustable brackets reinterpret the dual strap closure system of its vintage predecessor. The new Steamer also features a metallic V-shaped signature on its closure, in reference to the print sported by the Steamer from Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s era.
Noé
Originally created in 1932 as a means of transporting up to five champagne bottles in a useful, yet stylish way, the Noé was named after the well-known biblical hero from Noah’s Ark. Crafted in Millesime leather from the Domaine des Massifs and iconic aged natural cowhide leather trimmings, the bag still retains its elegance, supple shape, and generous volume.
Lock it
A historic shape from the Maison’s archives, the Lockit tote bag features a rounded silhouette and an engraved lock closure, protecting one’s belongings stored inside. Reinterpreted in the leather from the Domaine des Massifs, the bag takes on a natural tan colour and supple feel, while retaining its signature elements.
